Chipboard Magnets

After getting DD some Melissa and Doug wood animal magnets for Christmas, I thought it would be neat to create some other magnets for her to play with.

Melissa and Doug Animal Magnets

I was shopping at the local Michael's for something else, when I saw some packages of chipboard embellishments. DD is big into the Disney Princesses right now. I thought the chipboard looked pretty cool, but did not know what to do them. As I was browsing the aisles, I found some magnetic paper. (Cue lightbulb!)
I rolled some of the magnetic paper out and laid the embellishments on it. When I was satisfied with the size, I removed the paper to expose the adhesive side and laid the embellishments on the magnetic paper. I cut around the embellishments and voila!

Happily playing

Birthday Wishes

I made this card for my husband's birthday. I found a stamp set called "Who's That Geek Guy?" from My Favorite Things Stamps. I stamped the images with Jet Black Stayz on Ink and colored them in using Stampin' Markers. I used the Occasional Quotes stamp set for the Birthday Wishes.

Stamp Sets: Who's That Geek Guy from My Favorite Things Stamps and Occasional Quotes from Stampin' Up
Cardstock: Real Red, Going Gray, Whisper White, Marina Mist, Basic Black
Ink: Jet Black StayzOn
Markers: Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Brilliant Blue, Early Espresso, Blush Blossom, Creamy Caramel
Embellishments: Mini Library Clip

Wanna Lei?

I got this stamp set for Christmas and have been waiting for a chance to get to use it. I had time and was feeling crafty, so I had some fun with this stamp set. The stamp set is from Bombshell Stamps; they have some cool pin up girl stamps.

I used Marina Mist card stock and tore some Creamy Caramel card stock to make it look like a beach. I stamped the girl and the tree on Whisper white card stock and used the following markers to color them in: Creamy Caramel, Old Olive, Peach Parfait, Close to Cocoa, Early Espresso, Rich Razzleberry, and Marina Mist. I used Stampin' Up's Itty Bit Backgrounds for the sand.

Stamp Sets: Hawaiian Girl by Bombshell Stamps; Itty Bitty Background by Stampin' Up
Card Stock: Whisper White, Marina Mist, Creamy Caramel
Ink: Jet Black StayzOn, Close to Cocoa
Markers: Creamy Caramel, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Close to Cocoa, Early Espresso, Marina Mist, Peach Parfait

King of The Grill

I made this card for my Stampin' Up club swap for July. I stamped the image on Whisper White cardstock with Jet Black Stayzon ink. I then colored the chef hat and apron with Real Red Stampin marker, the pants with Brilliant Blue marker. I used going gray and close to cocoa for the spatula. I then used the scallop punch on two edges of the card stock and sponged close to cocoa on the cardstock. I added eyelets for a masculine touch.

Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Real Red, Brilliant Blue
Ink: Jet Black Stayz On
Markers: Brilliant Blue, Real Red, Going Gray, Close to Cocoa, Garden Green
Punches: Scallop, Modern Label, Word Window
Stamp Set: King of the Grill
Embellishments: eyelets

Easter Egg Hunt

For this month's card swap theme, we had Easter! I decided to make an easel card. My sister created some lazy bunnies for me. I used a large oval punch and punched out various cards and designer paper. I made sure each card had a golden egg.
