Birthday Wishes

I made this card for my husband's birthday. I found a stamp set called "Who's That Geek Guy?" from My Favorite Things Stamps. I stamped the images with Jet Black Stayz on Ink and colored them in using Stampin' Markers. I used the Occasional Quotes stamp set for the Birthday Wishes.

Wanna Lei?

I got this stamp set for Christmas and have been waiting for a chance to get to use it. I had time and was feeling crafty, so I had some fun with this stamp set. The stamp set is from Bombshell Stamps; they have some cool pin up girl stamps.

I used Marina Mist card stock and tore some Creamy Caramel card stock to make it look like a beach. I stamped the girl and the tree on Whisper white card stock and used the following markers to color them in: Creamy Caramel, Old Olive, Peach Parfait, Close to Cocoa, Early Espresso, Rich Razzleberry, and Marina Mist. I used Stampin' Up's Itty Bit Backgrounds for the sand.

Stamp Sets: Hawaiian Girl by Bombshell Stamps; Itty Bitty Background by Stampin' Up

Ink: Jet Black StayzOn, Close to Cocoa

King of The Grill

I made this card for my Stampin' Up club swap for July. I stamped the image on Whisper White cardstock with Jet Black Stayzon ink. I then colored the chef hat and apron with Real Red Stampin marker, the pants with Brilliant Blue marker. I used going gray and close to cocoa for the spatula. I then used the scallop punch on two edges of the card stock and sponged close to cocoa on the cardstock. I added eyelets for a masculine touch.

Easter Egg Hunt

For this month's card swap theme, we had Easter! I decided to make an easel card. My sister created some lazy bunnies for me. I used a large oval punch and punched out various cards and designer paper. I made sure each card had a golden egg.

Celebrate Earth Day!

For March's card swap, one of the themes was Earth Day and to use recycled material. I stamped the map image on a paper bag. I then stamped the heart on a piece of clear plastic. I layered the map on a piece of Creamy Caramel and used a punch on green paper to give a notebook look. I layered all of this on Taken with Teal. The last touch was a bow made with hemp.

I wish I could draw...

On my quest to find some stamps that represent me and I come up with nothing.

I want some stamps with Asian girls, but not with the traditional clothing... I want American girls with Asian eyes. And how about some chunky ones at that... Not all of us can be skinny white girls!

Happy St Patrick's Day

I used punches on this card. For this month's facebook card swap, the theme is St. Patrick's Day.
For the pot of gold, I used the ornament punch, picture corner punch, small oval punch, and small circle punch. I layered the ornament on the small picture corner. I then placed three circles over the ornament handle. I then placed half of an oval to look like the lid of the pot. Finally, I used the slot punch and ran a ribbon through it.
I used a Martha Stewart Clover punch to get the clovers.
I embossed the sentiment on whisper white and then sponged the green inks. And tore the paper.

Inks: Garden Green, Gable Green, Versamark
Cardstock: Basic Black, Garden Green, Crushed Curry, Whisper White, Gable Green
Punches: Ornament, Small Oval, Small Photo Corner, Small Circle, Slot, Clover

Old Calendar

So I had an old calendar I got Rob for Christmas several years ago. I found it a few months ago when we were cleaning things getting ready for selling our home. I thought I could use the pictures for something. One of March's themes on our FB Monthly Card Swap is Boy Birthday Cards. I pulled out the old Marvel calendar and picked pictures that would fit on a card.

I had some clear acrylic stamps that had comic book words so I stamped them in Real Red, Brilliant Blue, Garden Green, and Yo Yo Yellow on to Whisper White Cardstock. I then stamped Happy Birthday in StayzOn Jet Black on whisper White and punched out the sentiment with various punches. I tried to match the card color with the picture color. I think I did a pretty good job.

Spider Man
Iron Man
Cyclops
Thing
Beast
Spider Man
Wolverine
Hulk

Ink Colors: Real Red, Only Orange, Garden Green, Yo Yo Yellow, Pale Plum, Brilliant Blue
Card Stock: Real Red, Brilliant Blue, Pale Plum, Crushed Curry, Garden Green

I Am...

This is the first page of my scrapbook for our scrapbook challenge. The first page's challenge was to use 10 words that describe myself. I chose to hand write the words since I did not have stamps for all the words and the stamps I did have were various things and I wanted this page to be somewhat uniform.
I used my circle cutter to cut the yellow circle and then my picture corner punch to make the rays on the sun. I used brown paper as a background for the words and sponged brown on the white to make it look like plaques...

Looking forward to the next page

Birthday Celebrations

She's Smokin' Hot!

My wonderful husband got me some stamps from Bombshells Stamps .

I decided I wanted to make a birthday card using my stamps. I had some Harley Davidson designer paper with flames and figured it would go perfect with this card.

I stamped the cowgirl with StazOn Jet Black on Very Vanilla cardstock. I then colored her in using Stampin' Write Markers. After I colored her, I ripped the cardstock around her and tore a small hole to mimic damage. I then used Basic Black ink and sponged it around the edges of the cardstock to give it a burnt look.

I layered the flame designer paper on Basic Black card stock. I added pieces of Real Red and Soft Suede cardstock and then layered the cowgirl on top.

I stamped Birthday Celebrations in Versamark on Really Rust cardstock and used Clear Stampin' Emboss powder. After I embossed, I used the label punch. I then sponged some Basic Black onto the piece and used a dimensional to attach the piece to the card.

Stamp Set: Retro Cowgirls

Ink Colors: Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suede, Basic Black, StazOn Jet Black, Real Red, Really Rust, Summer Sun, Regal Rose

Paper: Harley Davidson Flame Designer paper, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Real Red

Valentine Shaker Card

This is a new stamp set from Stampin' Up. It is not in the catalogue. It comes with a matching punch and sweet heart cups. I decided not to use the cups, but to make a shaker card instead.
I stamped the "be mine" image in Rich Razzleberry on Whisper White card stock. I then used my heart punch and punched the inside of the heart.
I stamped the bird in Pink Passion on Whisper White cardstock and cut it out. I used the anywhere glue stick and stuck him on the Rich Razzleberry cardstock.
For the window*, I used packing tape. I folded a strip in half so the sticky ends were touching each other. I then glued the window onto the back of the piece of white card stock. I took some Sticky Strip and placed it around the window. And then I cut pieces of foam and placed on top of the Sticky Strip. I put another layer of Sticky strip on the foam. I then put some tiny beads on the window. With the back side of the window still facing up, I layered the Rich Razzleberry over it.
* You can use acetate or the overhead projector sheets, but I went the economical way and used packing tape.
I used Glorious Green to stamp the stem portion of the flower on to Whisper White cardstock. and layered that on a piece of Glorious Green cardstock. The flower is layered on So Saffron cardstock which is placed on a piece of Pink Passion.
Stamp Set: Sweetheart Stamp Set
Punch: Full Heart Punch
Ink Colors: Pink Passion, Glorious Green, Rich Razzleberry
Card Stock: Whisper White, Pink Passion, So Saffron, Rich Razzleberry, Glorious Green
